The Vision of Johanna
Songwriter Johanna (aka Hanneke) was born and raised with the music of her father, between the LP’s of Bowie, Led Zeppelin, Neil Young and Bob Dylan. It’s not surprising that the band is named after a song of ‘uncle’ Bob.
The Vision of Johanna was found by Johanna van Andel (songwriter, piano, singer) and Arjan van Diepeningen (bassguitar), and was completed by Pascal Vermeulen (drums) and Pieter de Jongh (guitar). The band provides a wide range of genres like funk, soul and pop/rock.
For their latest album ‘Timerebel’ Johanna gained inspiration from the book ‘the Good Ancestor’, by Roman Krznaric. Other sources of inspiration are bands like Steely Dan, Queen and PJ Harvey.
